Green Party back in Second Place.
Going into the final weekend, the Green Party moved back into second place in BC according to Harris Decima.

The Conservatives are in first place with 40%. (Weighed by the interior and Fraser Valley Ridings.)
The Greens are in Second Place with 21% (Tied with the NDP)
The Liberals are in Fourth Place with 18%.
This could make the result real interesting, as a riding like Vancouver Quadra polls much higher than the rest of BC. In the by-election, we received 14% of the vote, however 65% of eligible voters did not vote.
We have been making huge gains in Vancouver Quadra and on election night, we are hoping for an October Surprise but it will depend on turnout.

liberals took more votes because...
... they were afraid to split the vote and allow Tories to nab seats they shouldn't have.
I myself am guilty of making this choice too, and voted Liberal although I wanted to vote green. What can be done in future? How does a party leap forward beyond this obstacle? I'm interested to hear what you think?
thanks
We have to end fear based
We have to end fear based voting. The ABC/strategic voting campaigns failed.
They did not help the Liberals or stop the Conservatives, instead they turned off voters and hurt the Greens. They ate into our base, while giving the Conservatives a free pass.
No one can win on fear alone. Demonizing Harper is a poor strategy, because Canadians were left with no leadership. They were turned off, and we got a government we did not want, only because we failed to tell voters what government we wanted.
As a Green I tried that, but obviously even our party leadership fell into the narrative we set. Next election, we should tell people about hope and quality candidates.
